Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been very exciting to have all the children back at Homerton this week.  We have been amazed how well everyone has settled back in and remembered old routines and friends.

Please speak to class staff if you feel your child needs a little more support currently.

Please find attached our Homerton parent survey.  If you are able to please complete this survey, it gives us very valuable feedback as to how we can improve the service we offer to children and families in the future.

You can return it by email, or if you prefer your responses to remain anonymous then post it either through our letter box, or in the boxes which will be at the Nest and Nursery gates next week.

We will have paper copies to take home and fill in ready from Monday if you prefer to do it that way.

I am also attaching a letter from Jon Lewis, Head of Service for the Local Authority, explaining reopening fully and the current numbers of Covid cases in our area.

In order to keep the school community as safe as possible please continue to keep your child at home if they show any signs of being unwell.

We currently have some spaces for both the Nest and Nursery available from September –  if you know of anyone looking for a 2-4 year old place for their child please do get them to ring us on 01223 508766.

I am happy to show families around the Centre at the end of the day.

Next week is St Patrick’s Day – Wednesday 17th March. To celebrate this event children across the Centre will be listening to some Irish music and learning some Irish dancing steps with their classes.

We are lucky to have Bernie, our resident Irish dancing teacher, on the staff.

There have been a lot of beautiful daffodil paintings and drawings done by children this week which I am sure you will be receiving over the weekend.

Wishing all Mums a very Happy Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Best wishes

Alex and all at Homerton
