Homerton Early Years Centre Weekly Bulletin No 11– January 30th 2020

Dear Parents,

Happy Chinese New Year to you all – As you will know your children have had a lot of fun this week celebrating Chinese New Year. Activities have included cooking noodles and spring rolls, watching and then performing our own Chinese dances, doing our own Chinese writing and making lanterns and purses. Thank you to all the parents who have helped with this across the week.

Our writing workshop last night was very successful and a big thank you goes to Helen and Felicity, for delivering this for us. If you weren’t able to attend but would like to know more about how we approach writing at Homerton please talk to the class staff.

The book sale exchange scheme is going really well and thank you to everyone for bringing in and buying books. We are well on the way to being able to purchase our World Instruments set- which is very exciting. Please continue to bring in and buy books so we can reach our target.

We are looking forward to seeing you at parent’s afternoon/evening for our Nursery children next week where you will be given a parent survey to complete. This will help us see what we currently do well and how we can do things better. The survey is anonymous so please do fill it in and post it in the box outside the office.

Finally please remember to book your child into holiday club over half term if you wish to and remember we are closed on Monday 24th February for training.
