Message from the Head Teacher:
Dear Parents
I would like to start by saying a big thank you to Bob and Melody for making the Centre look so beautiful and festive. Angela and Helen are also making the children a special Christmas lunch in the coming days so thank you to them.
We have had some exciting events this week for the children as they enjoy the lead up to Christmas. Father Christmas will be visiting very soon. Thanks to Roy Stamp our retired caretaker, for being Santa. We hope your children like their gifts, these are bought with your generous donations made to the school fund.
Father Christmas chatting to his reindeer last year before the children arrived to meet him….we are delighted he is coming to visit again this year.
I know the Christmas Storytrail was also very special and I hope you all enjoyed it. Thank you to all the adults who came to volunteer as Shepherds, Kings, the Holy Family, music makers etc. It really is a magical event bringing the story of Christmas to life for children. It also brings together so many curriculum subject areas from storytelling, to imaginative and creative play, music, singing and dancing. It is a very special community event for us bringing together all the families from across Homerton to share in something special. Some parents asked us about our very simple visual recipe for our star biscuits so here is a photo of it should you wish to cook some over the Christmas period.
Christmas Raffle Looking ahead to next week, please can you remember to bring some money with you on Wednesday 11th as we have our Christmas Raffle with so many fantastic prizes waiting to be won! The money raised from the raffle will go towards us paying for the development of The Nest garden. Tracey has been busy wrapping all the presents so here is a taster of what you could win!
Here is just a small selection of the many prizes that you can win next week.
Fundraising Christmas Craft Stall on 10th December We are also holding a fund raising Christmas craft stall here on Tuesday 10th December – Anne, one of our Homerton supporters, makes lots of beautiful craft items including aprons, bags and bunting so please bring some cash on that day too!

Medical Update: Lots of children seem to be suffering with coughs at the moment, especially in our Nest rooms. Please keep your children at home if they are unwell as we don’t want to spread germs to others…thank you. |
