Homerton Early Years Centre – Weekly Bulletin

30th June 2022

Message from the Head Teacher:

Dear Parents,

Please be aware that Covid cases are on the increase in the Centre currently. If your child has a cough, cold or temperature then we would really appreciate it if you could keep them at home so that we don’t spread it to everyone prior to the Summer break. Your support with this is much appreciated.

Please put our ‘Goodbye event’, in your diaries on 13th July at either 11.00am, or 2.30pm. We suggest West Room parents come to the 2.30pm session as the West Room staff are on a course in the morning and would like to be there to see you. Nest parents please come to the 11am session as children often sleep in the afternoon. South parents will need to come in the morning.

Wednesday 6th July is our Really Wheelie trail from 9.30 -10.45 am.  We are looking for parent volunteers who are able to help on that morning, (just for the Nursery not the Nest).  Please let class staff know if you can help. Nursery children only are invited to bring a wheeled toy of their choice to ride, or push along, for the event.  Please label your child’s bike, scooter, trike, or push along. Nest children will also do a Really Wheelie event in their garden using Homerton’s toys so no need to bring anything from home.  If you would like to make a donation to school fund, for your child taking part, please feel free to.  All children will receive a certificate at the end of the event to celebrate their achievement.

From Wednesday next week onwards you will be receiving your child’s Special book and report so if you know that you are leaving before this please let us know so we can have all your child’s things ready for you to take.  Please can everyone also bring in a bag from home so we can put your child’s artwork etc into it.

South Room had their trip to Nightingale Park on Friday last week so I thought you might like to see some photos of what they got up to.

Whilst on the picture treasure hunt the children had a quick ride on the wooden horse, which they had identified   on their picture hunt sheet.
