Message from the Head Teacher:

Dear Parents

I can’t quite believe we are coming to the end of the term again.  The children have grown so much over the term and are learning to do so many new things along the way, as well as developing fantastic social skills and friendships with each other.

This week we are preparing for Easter with lots of fun activities involving eggs! The photos below are of children having fun at our egg and spoon race in the garden this week. We are also going to enjoy Easter singing for all the children tomorrow.

Looking ahead to next term we are starting to plan for the Coronation and our Core book which is Going on a Bear Hunt. More will follow on these events when we return from the Easter break.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and all of you for your support this term and wish you a happy holiday time together.

Covid/Medical Update: We have had a number of cases of Conjunctivitis across the Centre this week.  We also have a case of Covid in the staff team.
Some of our Learning this week

East Room have enjoyed a trip to the park next door to extend their physical skills

The Nest have continued the theme of journeys – last week they were off on a plane together and this week they were taking a train to London complete with driver and steering wheel at the front of the train.

Parsa’s Mum in West Room kindly came in to talk to the class about the Persian festival of Nowruz. She also brought the class some little treats to enjoy.

All our Homerton chefs have been busy across the classrooms making Easter Nests from rice crispies mixed with chocolate – perhaps they will share them with you?

Best wishes from all of us at Homerton and happy holidays to you all.

Alex
