Dear Parents and Carers

Happy Ramadan to all the Homerton families who are observing this month of fasting and prayer.

We are in the second week of having the chicks with us.  They are gaining in confidence daily and starting to use their wings to fly a little. All the classes have had the opportunity this week to observe, hold and draw a chick and there has been a lot of chat about the changes that have been observed.

We have really enjoyed some lovely days of sunshine this week so just a reminder to please apply sun cream before your children come in to Homerton in the mornings. Please also make sure your children have a good drink at breakfast and bring a hat to wear.

Next week our school photographer, Helen who takes really natural beautiful photos, is coming in to take pictures of the children both individually and as a class group. She will be in South Room and the Nest on Tuesday, East Room on Wednesday, and West Room and the Nest again on Thursday.

If anyone would like a sibling photo then please contact the office and we can arrange for this to take place in the garden.

Parents evening is going to be for both the Nest and Nursery children in the week beginning 10th May.  The Nest will be putting up a sign up sheet on Monday next week.  You can choose if you prefer to come for a face to face meeting or have a phone call. Please be aware that new starters and children with 1:1 support do not need to sign up for parent’s evening as staff will be chatting to you regularly about your child’s progress. If you would especially like a meeting then let staff know.

Best wishes from Alex and all at Homerton
