Homerton Weekly Bulletin 2nd December 2021

Dear Parents and Carers

A HUGE thank you to you all for your support with our Christmas Raffle.  We raised a fantastic £339.00, which will certainly give the children a great party.  We are also hoping to have a guest storyteller visit next term, so any remaining monies will go towards paying for that. The lucky winners were Nina, Isa, Darcie, Celina, Carmim, Noah, Marisa, Nefeli, Angie , Evelyn and Isaac – congratulations to them all and hope they enjoy their prizes. Thank you to Tracey, Sharon and Isa for organizing this event.

Next Wednesday 8th December is our Christmas Storytrail and Cake Sale.  The storytrail is a lovely opportunity for children and parents to experience the Christmas story, sing some carols, and dance around our Christmas tree. I have attached a photo of the Christmas tree so you can get in the mood! Please can we request that you wear masks, and stagger your entry, so that we don’t have too many people gathered at one particular place at a time. The trail runs from 8.45-9.30am and is both for morning, and afternoon children to attend at this time.

The cake sale is also on the 8th December. It is being run by Kate Mott and Isa – thank you to them.  The proceeds from the cake sale will go to Arthur Rank so please get baking and giving generously as it is a great cause, and one close to our hearts, as we have a staff member currently being looked after by Arthur Rank. Again you need to just bring cash I am afraid as we don’t have a card facility.

I am also attaching this month’s What’s on programme of events for families to enjoy.

Finally just a safety request to all cyclists to please dismount before entering Homerton grounds for the safety of parents and children walking.

Many thanks for all your support and look forward to seeing on Wednesday for our Storytrail, which will definitely get you in the Christmas spirit!

Best wishes

Alex and all the Homerton staff
