Homerton Weekly Bulletin 16TH July 2021

Dear Parents and Carers

We thought you might enjoy seeing some photos of our Claytime story telling session with Sally and Steve this week.

The children absolutely loved the session.  Steve got the children to make up a story, which was then retold with clay props made by Sally.

One story featured a dinosaur, who lived in the land of Bong and wanted to drive a car to the top of the hill, to collect the crown to become king.  Having got the crown he then took the zip wire down the hill!

Children certainly have wonderful imaginations.

In the middle of claytime we got the call to say Ofsted would visit yesterday! We are delighted that the visit went well and we wanted to thank you all for your support in filling in the Ofsted questionnaire for us, as well as bringing back special books and speaking to the inspectors.

On Monday we also launched the new website so do have a look at that – just google Homerton Early Years Centre and it will come up.

Please have a look, with your children, at the Learning and Exploring and A Child’s Life at Homerton pages.

If you are staying in Cambridge over the Summer holiday and looking for ideas for things to do with your children then do look at the app 50 things to do before you are five app https://cambspboro.50thingstodo.org/app/os

It has lots of great ideas and activities to enjoy in the local area.

The last day of term is Wednesday, when we will be singing with the children in the garden.

For those of you with children leaving Homerton we wanted to wish them, and you, all the best for the future.  It has been a real pleasure to be part of your children’s lives and we will all miss them.

Have a very good break over the Summer.

Best wishes

Alex and all at Homerton
