Homerton Early Years Centre – Weekly Bulletin

14th December 2022

Message from the Head Teacher:

Dear Parents

Let me start by wishing you all a very happy festive season from all of us here at Homerton.  This beautiful wreath was made by Dong…can you spot the owl?

This week has been full of fun and festivity for the children. The snow has added even more excitement and opportunity to learn about building snowmen, sliding down the hills on trays, and making snow angels!

We have also had our Christmas lunch, a big thank you to the elf cooks, Angela and Helen, for making the lunch.

Today’s parties have been a lot of fun and ended with us all coming together to sing Christmas songs, accompanied by Victoria and Naoko, professional musicians, playing the piano and flute – a big thank you to them.

Finally the raffle has made a fantastic £400, thanks to you all. The money raised will go towards paying for our Christmas parties, and a new scramble net for the Nursery garden climbing frame. Thank you to Tracey for all her organisation of the raffle.

Covid/Medical Update: We have had one staff member who has had Covid this week.

Some of the Learning this week has centred around enjoying the snow and ice and Christmas events. I hope the pictures below make you all smile.
