Tuesday 20th June am – South Room Wednesday 21st June am and pm – East Room Thursday 22nd June am – West Room Wednesday 28th June am – The Nest Friday 30th June am – The Nest
Please can we request that on the day your child’s class goes to Nightingale Park you arrive by 9.10am. Parent volunteers please also arrive by 9.10am and class staff will run through all the information you will need for the trip.
Please remember to apply sunscreen on the morning and provide a hat and appropriate clothing for whatever the weather is that day, including raincoats if they are likely to be needed. Children will also need to wear comfortable shoes for walking – socks and trainers are probably best. Thank you
Sun cream application request
Please remember to apply sun cream for your child daily first thing in the morning now that it is warming up and UV levels are high.
Parking Please can we request that for the safety of children you do not park on the yellow lines outside the Centre. There is parking on Glebe Road and it is a lovely walk through the allotment gardens to get here.
Cargo bike parking Please can cargo bikes be parked along the front of the main building at drop off and pick up times rather than in our staff car park – Thank you.

Message from the Head Teacher:
Dear Parents and Carers
I think this hot weather has taken us all a bit by surprise. We are trying to keep everyone as cool as possible by only going outside at cooler times of the day and staying in our shady areas to play. Children have also been encouraged to drink a lot of water. We have had a number of activities involving water both in the Nest and Nursery gardens – please see the pictures below. Thank you for continuing to apply sun cream and providing hats for your children. As the weather in Britain can be so unpredictable can we ask that you check the weather daily and supply your children with raincoats if they may be needed.
This week we have had work experience students with us from Sawston Secondary School. They have been having fun with the children joining in with all our activities. The students are with us for another week so your children may well talk about them.
We will continue having different students from various schools until the end of term.
Next week we also have a group of Chinese visitors from Shanghai kindergarten coming to see the Centre.

Some of our Learning this week
Most of the photos from this week have been taken outside where children have been enjoying treasure hunts, trips to the allotment to collect strawberries, and lots of water play.
Look how many strawberries we have managed to grow and collect…we enjoyed eating them too!

Children in the Nest enjoyed running past our flower water spray to cool off for a while….the staff enjoyed it too!
Beach scene play in our tuff spot tray using shaving foam, paint, shells and sand
West room learnt some Dutch And children enjoyed dancing to music
South Room children visited the park next door for a play
East Room children used their spreading skills to make a snack to enjoy
