Message from the Head Teacher:
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you very much for coming to our Summer Celebration event yesterday. It was lovely to be together celebrating your children’s many achievements over the year with us.
We really appreciate all the very kind gifts, cards and thank you messages we have received over the last few days.
We also wanted to say a very BIG thank you for the many donations made towards our sensory room equipment, which should be arriving before the end of the term.
It has been very exciting and rewarding for us to be on your child’s educational journey this year and we want to thank you for supporting us in so many ways to deliver interesting and educational activities for them all. I think you will agree that over a year children grow, change and learn so much at this age.
We are here next week and are looking forward to Clay time on Wednesday. I am sure your children will be telling you all about this end of term treat.
This will be the last weekly bulletin of the academic year so we wish you all a very happy summer and all the best to you, and your children, if they are moving on to Reception classes or new schools. If your children are staying with us next year we look forward to welcoming you back in September.

Covid/Medical Update: We have had a couple of cases of Covid in the Centre this week.
|
Some of our Learning this week
East Room have been busy doing 5 Little Speckled Frogs in the Rainbow Room
All the classes have enjoyed releasing their butterflies
The Nest and East have been digging for potatoes, and all our young decorators have been painting the fences with water, an activity that really helps them develop their gross motor skills
Children have been so pleased to finally master coming down the Fireman’s pole before the end of term
And we all enjoyed singing together and eating lollies at our Summer Celebrations yesterday
The final photo this week is of Angie pedalling her way down the corridor on the new bike that she has kindly bought for the Centre as a retirement gift – I am sure future generations of children are going to have just as much fun as Angie on it! |
Best wishes and heartfelt thanks to you all from
Alex and all of us at Homerton
