Homerton Weekly Bulletin 13th January 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

The last couple of frosty bright mornings the children have loved exploring ice and frost, which has been a lot of fun.

This morning it was especially slippery for anyone on a bike, turning into the passageway from Glebe Road, past the allotments, so maybe allow slightly more time to get here if you are cycling with your child. Thank you to Roy, our caretaker, for gritting all Homerton paths early.

There is also a lot of slippery mud, if you come into Homerton via the park entrance, do use our Homerton passageway if you prefer.  Unfortunately our carpark is only available for staff to use and is not for dropping off, or picking up, children.

The children have also been having a great time getting to know our Core Book, ‘Goldilocks’, this term.  They know the story really well and have been acting it out, and making porridge with honey and raisin toppings. Next week we will be sending home a Goldilocks story sheet, in words and pictures, for you to share with your children.

Following our ‘Makaton’ training we have been learning to sign, and sing, a Goldilocks song and Baa Baa Black Sheep, so do get your children to teach you some of the signs – Mr Tumble on CBeebies has a fun version of Goldilocks.

Just a reminder that we are closed for Food Safety Training and Rachel’s service on Friday 21st January.

Mel has sent out an email recently about half term Holiday Club which runs Monday 14th– Friday 18th February.  Please do book in early as it tends to fill up quickly.

With Best wishes from us all at Homerton.

Alex
