Homerton Weekly Bulletin 19th January 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

Here is a photo of our display, in our main corridor, based on the Goldilocks story. The children who stay for lunch often chat about the story, when passing the display. They have also been enjoying roleplaying the story in their drama sessions.

As promised last week I am attaching a visual version of the story for you to share with your children.

This week we have unfortunately been affected by increased Covid 19 cases across the Centre.  I would like to reassure you that we are doing everything possible to reduce the spread, and keep the Centre running smoothly.  A big thank you to parents for Lateral Flow testing your children when I asked – that has certainly helped in identifying cases. I have also passed on your kind messages to the staff who currently have it.

I am pleased to say we are planning to have in person parent consultations after half term in the weeks beginning the 7th and 14th March.

As you know we have been having beautiful bright, but cold and frosty days, so please continue to dress your children in warm layers of clothing.

Just to let you know Angela, our wonderful cook and cleaner, is going to be locking the large orange gates into the park next door at 4.30 daily. Please remember to dismount from your bikes in this area to avoid anyone being knocked over.

Our next training day, on food hygiene, takes place this Friday – 21st January, so the Centre will be closed.

Rachel’s service of remembrance and celebration is also that afternoon at 2.30pm at St Paul’s Church on Hills Road, should anyone wish to attend. The family has requested no flowers, but donations can be made to Arthur Rank for anyone who wishes.

With best wishes from all of us at Homerton Nursery

Alex
