Dear Parents
Homerton Weekly News October 12th
- Half term 23rd-27th Oct. We reopen for all children on Tuesday 31st October as Monday 30th we are closed for a staff training day.
- Wednesday 18th October is Wear it Pink or Red day which is for children and staff – do encourage your child to wear pink or red on that day – a small donation can be made to Breast cancer charities on the day if you wish to.
- 18th October sees the start of our class music lessons with Rachel Rigby our fantastic visiting music teacher – she will be with us every fortnight.
- Children’s Centre Council Meeting – Shire Hall 10am for 10.30 meeting. Please do come along to stand outside the Shire Hall at 10am and join the protest against our Children’s Centre closure. I would like to reassure you that whatever the outcome of the Council meeting that day, the Early Years Centre (Nursery and Nest) will remain open for the education and care of 2-5 year olds.
- Rudolph cards – please find attached the template for your child to design Christmas cards or mugs these need to be back to the office by Tuesday 31st October.
- Parking continues to be a problem outside Homerton – Please do not park on the yellow lines which are there for the safety of the children. It is better to park in Glebe Road near house no 48, and enjoy a walk through the allotments with your child. Thank you for your help with this.
Please do come and see me anytime if you wish to discuss anything at all.
With Best wishes
Alex Pearson
Acting Head
