Homerton Early Years Centre Weekly Bulletin No 5 – November 22nd 2019

Dear Parents,

Pond Redevelopment – We have had an exciting week with Dale, and his team, working on redeveloping the pond area for the children. The children have really enjoyed watching the process of emptying and refilling the pond as well as all the construction work that has taken place. If you get the chance do have a look at the pond area next week.

Raffle boxes – Thank you to everyone who donated to our lovely raffle boxes which can be seen in the entrance. The raffle takes place on 4th December and helps to pay for lots of extra Christmas activities and our class parties.

Cambridge Kung Fu – Ross Sargent, and his team, run a class here at Homerton on a Thursday morning, for a few of our children, which is currently full. He has asked me to let parents know that he has a few spaces in his classes during the week run at Hills Rd Sports and Tennis Centre. These are great classes for parents and toddlers aged 2-3 years focusing on physical, social and language development. If you are interested in your child attending please look at their website which is www.cambridgekungfu.com.

Christmas Storytrail 11th December – 8.45 or 12.45 for about 30 minutes. This is a magical event for parents to enjoy with children so please do put this in your diaries.

Early Years Pupil Premium, Free School Meals and Disability Access Funding – Applications for all the above now need to be made directly by parents. If you think your child may be eligible for any of the above please look up each fund on line, and check if you are entitled to this extra funding. If your child is entitled to it then it also brings some extra funding to the Centre for us to use on individual children.
