Dear Parents and Carers,

We have been enjoying the really wonderful weather here at Homerton this with lots of water play outside and watching our caterpillars in the class turning into chrysalis.

Those children who visited Morley all seem to have had a very positive time there and everyone generally seems is very enthusiastic about their next schools.

The Nest children coming up to the Nursery in September have also been visiting their new classes and getting to know their class staff.

An exciting event for the future is that the park next door to us is to be redone.  We have been asked to contribute ideas for what parents and children would like to have put in it.  If you have any suggestions for the park please could you come and see me, or drop me an email.  Chloe Brown (mother of Severn in East and Rafferty in the Nest), is also involved in the project and you could speak to her, or email her with ideas too.  Her email is chloecurwenbrown@gmail.com

We are looking forward to our Summer Celebration on the 17th so please do have that one in your diary and come along if you can.

DIARY DATE REMINDERS

Wednesday 17th July –Summer Celebration Event for Nursery Children, their parents and siblings

Please come and join your child at Homerton on Wednesday 17th July for a summer celebration and an opportunity to say goodbye for the children who will be leaving to go onto school. Play in the garden, or classes, with your child and then we all join together to sing our favourite songs and enjoy an ice lolly! Timings for this are either 10.45-11.45am or 2.45-3.45pm.

Goodbye Event for Nest children

Children in The Nest will also have singing in the garden on Wednesday 17th July and Thursday 18th July. If it rains we’ll move indoors! Parents are welcome to join in if you would like, at 11.40 and 3.40 on either of the above days.

Best wishes

Alex and all the Homerton Staff
