Dear Parents and Carers,

This week has been very exciting for the children with all of us going to Wandlebury either yesterday or tomorrow for the Nest.  Thank you to all the parents, staff and volunteers who helped to make this trip so successful. Please do look at the plasma screen in the entrance, or at the screens in your classes to see photos of all the activities including den building and rolling down the hills.

Many children are starting to visit their new schools now.  There is more information about those children going to visit Morley next week below.  If your child is not going to Morley please come to Homerton as usual.

DIARY DATE REMINDERS

Wandlebury Trips – 28th June for the Nest

Morley visits are taking place on:-

Monday 1st July – West Room, Tuesday 2nd July South Room, Thursday 4th July East Room.

All visits take place in the morning. Please meet staff with your child outside Morley at 9.30am and collect your child from Morley at 11am.  If your child usually stays with us all day then Homerton staff will walk them back for lunch and the afternoon session so there is no need to meet them at 11am unless you wish to see how they have got on.

Any children NOT going to Morley please come to Homerton as usual that morning.

Wednesday 17th July –Summer Celebration Event for Nursery Children, their parents and siblings

Please come and join your child at Homerton on Wednesday 17th July for a summer celebration and an opportunity to say goodbye for the children who will be leaving to go onto school. Play in the garden, or classes, with your child and then we all join together to sing our favourite songs and enjoy an ice lolly! Timings for this are either 10.45-11.45am or 2.45-3.45pm.

Goodbye Event for Nest children

Children in The Nest will also have singing in the garden on Wednesday 17th July and Thursday 18th July. If it rains we’ll move indoors! Parents are welcome to join in if you would like, at 11.40 and 3.40 on either of the above days.

Best wishes

Alex and all the Homerton Staff
