Dear Parents and Carers

It was lovely to see so many of the children at home on our live zoom yesterday – I think we all really enjoyed hearing the story of The Three Little Pigs. Thank you to Jacqui for the story and to Mitali for teaching us all the new dinosaur song.

Here at Homerton we have been continuing to enjoy our traditional tales with lots of cooking and counting activities around these.

Attached is next week’s planning which has lots of ideas for activities based on The Three Little Pigs – perhaps you could have fun building different types of homes, out of different materials, or making dens to read the story in.

There is also a template for Snakes and Ladders which is a great counting game for children to learn how to recognize numbers and have fun counting forwards and backwards.

Do carry on accessing our morning activity and tea time story via our twitter account @HomertonEYC

Please do send in photos of activities you are doing at home with your children so we can add them to your child’s special book here at Homerton. It is so nice to hear what you are all up to and that you are OK.

Please remember to dress your children warmly if they are attending Homerton.

If your child does develop a temperature or cough when here at Homerton then, as you know, we will be ringing you to collect them.  In this unfortunate event we ask that you do get them tested for Covid -19 immediately and let us know the result.  This is in order to reduce the risk of the possible spread of the virus to others in the class.

Hope you all have a good weekend and week ahead.

Looking forward to seeing you at next week’s zoom

Best wishes

Alex and all at Homerton
