Homerton Weekly Bulletin 3rd April 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

Easter Raffle

Many thanks to all those who bought tickets for our Easter Raffle today. We will be putting up a sign letting you know how much was raised towards the end of the week.  All proceeds are going towards buying more Core Stories for the children to enjoy sharing.

Charlie

You may have noticed that Charlie, our lovely Homerton dog has not been here this week. He is now 11, which is quite old for a German Shepherd, and is going into semi-retirement, enjoying a bit more time at home with Roy and family. He will however be back at Homerton on special occasions. One of these occasions is our International Day Lunch on 18th May when he will be putting on a dog show for us.

International Day Lunch 18th May 12.30-2.30pm

We are having an International day lunch which you are all warmly invited to on Saturday 18th May.  Please put the date in your diaries. If you are able to can you bring a dish, which can be served cold, to share (no nuts please), in order to celebrate with us food from around the world. We will also have some stalls and a dog show!

Astro Turf

During the holidays we are very excited to be having our astro turf replaced so when you come back after Easter do take a look at the garden.

Institute of Education project

After Easter we are having a student from the Institute of Education, in London, working with us on her research project looking into gender and play preferences. Her name is Yanhan and she may be asking parents if they would like to take part in her project which will involve a short interview…more on this will follow once she is here.
