Homerton Early Years Centre Weekly Bulletin No 12– February 6th 2020

Dear Parents,

I would like to start by sharing some very good news which is that the book exchange scheme has raised a fantastic £161.00 – so we will be able to buy our world musical instrument set for the children to enjoy. The plan is to put the books away for next week as we have the Cake sale on Wednesday 12th and then maybe do the same scheme in the summer term.

The cake sale money will be used to purchase some books on children understanding, and being able to express, emotions. We hope these will be useful both for classes to use at Circle times and parents to have as a helpful resource when needed. So please get baking and buying for Wednesday if you can.

Just a quick reminder if you have any library books at home please remember to return them and sign them off in the folder so we can keep a track of them.

Some parents have been asking if we could send out the information from the Writing Workshop last week – please see attachments for this.

It has been lovely to see so many parents in the Centre this week for parent consultations. Please do keep filling in the parent questionnaire as it provides us with very useful feedback for the Centre. The survey is anonymous and can be posted in the box outside the office.

Finally please remember to book your child into holiday club over half term if you wish to and remember we are closed on Monday 24th February for training.
