Homerton Early Years Centre Weekly Bulletin No 8 – December 12th 2019

Dear Parents,

We have had a really exciting week here at Homerton which started with a visit from Father Christmas who told us he had to leave his deer and sledge in Glebe Rd due to parking problems.

He was followed by kings, shepherds and the Mary Joseph and Jesus who brought the Christmas story to life in the garden – hope you and your children all enjoyed that and thank you to all those who took part.  The children watched a great show put on by Morley students of Little Robin Red Vest.  Thank you to Anna Youngs for not only organising this but also starring in it as the robin.

Friday 13th December – Storyteller Maggie Brown is coming to visit the Nursery children and reading the story she has written – Woolly Wonderland.  Maggie is going to be selling copies of the story on Friday and next week at a cost of £2.00. All the proceeds are going to a Cambridge charity Blue Smile which supports children’s mental health and well – being. The book is for age 4-7 and could be a great final present of the stocking if you are looking for something.

18th December – Party day with food, Christmas singing and fun games – again this is just an event for the children.

Upcoming events for your diary

13th DecemberStory teller Maggie Brown visits all Nursery classes – see information above. Please support Blue Smile charity by buying a copy of her book.
