Dear Parents, Carers, Staff and Friends,

We are writing to let you know about a family event next term, on Saturday 28th April, at Homerton to celebrate the wide range of cultures represented at Homerton and to raise some money for Clic Sargent – a cancer charity which has supported members of the Homerton community in their battle against cancer.

Please find attached a poster with information about the event. There will be some children’s activities, entertainment from around the world, as well as food from as many different parts of the world as possible.

What we really need at this stage is your help! We are hoping that you will be able to volunteer to provide a plate (or two!) of snack / finger food from your country / culture or region to share. You may like to work alone or you may wish to work with friends who share your roots and prepare a selection of foods. We hope this will be a fun way for families to get to know each other better and make new friends.

We would be really grateful if you could think about whether you could contribute some food and we will provide details soon of how to sign up and buy tickets for the event.

We look forward to celebrating our rich cultural heritage with you.

With many best wishes and thank you for your support,

Homerton Early Years Centre
