Bookstart – offers the gift of free books to all children at two key ages before they start school, to inspire a love of reading that will give children a flying start in life.

Cambridgeshire County Council – a collection of information for families in the Cambridgeshire area.  Information includes: childcare options; parenting support; things to do and places to go; money and benefits.

Change 4 Life health information and advice to help get families eating well, moving more and living longer.

Child Accident Prevention Trust – aiming to reduce the number of children and young people killed, disabled or seriously injured in accidents.

Families in the Foundation Years information for all families in England with children under the age of 5.

Family Information Service A range of information about services and childcare available for families living in Cambridgeshire

Family Lives – a national charity providing help and support in all aspects of family life.

Health Protection Agency guidance on infection control in schools and other childcare settings.

Healthy Start – if you are on benefits or pregnant and under 18, you could qualify for free vouchers every week to spend on milk, plain fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables, and infant formula milk.  You can also get free vitamins.  The Healthy Start website also has recipies and advice on food and health.

NHS Choices – is the online ‘front door’ to the NHS. It is the country’s biggest health website and gives all the information you need to make choices about your family’s health.
