Dear Parents Here are the highlights for the coming week… WEDNESDAY 16TH MAY is the BEAR HUNT DAY – An opportunity for parents and children to enjoy acting the Bear Hunt story (which the children now know very well!), together in the garden when you drop off…please do make time to come along for this magical event. PHOTOS – orders for photos need to be back with the Office by the end of  Wednesday 16th May.  It is still possible to order on-line beyond this date. REALLY WHEELIE TRAIL – A big thank you to all the parents and governors who helped make this such a fun event.  We have already raised over £400.00. If you have any more sponsor money please give it to the office ASAP.  The funds raised will be used to repair, or replace, some of wheeled toys. CAKE STALL – A big thank you also to Tracey’s sister, Sharon, for running this, as well as to all the bakers and buyers.  It raised £100.00 which is also fantastic. REMINDER – the whole Centre is closed on Friday 25 May for staff training.  We are closed the following week Monday 28 May to Friday 1 June for half term. There are a few spaces in holiday club which is running from Tuesday 29 May to Friday 1 June – please ask at the office if you would like your child to attend. Dear Parents Here are the highlights for the coming week… • CENTRE IS CLOSED ON MONDAY 7TH MAY AS IT IS BANK HOLIDAY. • WEDNESDAY 9TH MAY – CAKE STALL run by South Room. Please can you make and buy cakes to raise funds for outdoor equipment and allotment planting projects. • WEDNESDAY 9TH MAY is also REALLY WHEELIE TRAIL. This is a really fun sponsored event run by our parent governors for the Nursery children ONLY. Please bring a named bike, trike, scooter or whatever your child wishes to ride, or push, around the garden that day. If possible could you also bring a helmet for your child’s safety. The money raised is going towards buying some new wheeled toys or replacing parts on our current bikes and trikes. • WEDNESDAY 16TH MAY is the BEAR HUNT day …an opportunity for every family to enjoy bringing the story to life in the Homerton Garden together at drop off time. • Holiday club is fast approaching over the Half Term …so please book in if you would like a space. • Thank you to all the families and staff who helped to make the International Day such a lovely event last Saturday. We raised over £125.00 for Clic Sargent the children’s cancer charity and enjoyed some delicious food from around the world. • Many parents also attended our writing workshops this week run by Felicity Higginson. Parent Bulletin – 26.4.18

Dear Parents, The children are really enjoying the sunnier weather and the cherry tree in the main garden is looking beautiful so hopefully Summer is around the corner. Our photographer Helen has been able to take some lovely photos of children out in the garden this week. Here are just a few date reminders for things coming up which I mentioned in the recent newsletter. • Saturday 28th April – International day lunch 12.30-2.30pm. This is a lovely opportunity to try food from our International community and to see Irish dancing, and Chinese poetry reading! Get your ticket from the office if you haven’t already done so – all proceeds go to Clic Sargent a children’s cancer charity. • Thursday 3rd May – Writing workshop at 1.15-2.30pm and repeated again at 7.15pm-8.30pm. An informative event to find out how we encourage writing at Homerton with lots of practical tips and ideas. • Wednesday 9th May – Really Wheelie Trail. This is a really fun parent governor event. It is for the Nursery children only. Children are sponsored by family and friends to cycle/trike or push a buggy around the Nursery garden a number of times. This event is just for the children but if any parents would like to volunteer to help record the laps please sign your name up on the sheet outside your child’s classroom, you would need to be free from 9am-11am. Money raised will go towards funding equipment for the children. • Wednesday 9th May – South Room Cake stall…The cake stall takes place on the same day as the Really Wheelie so please bring...
